Payment and Refund Policy Agreement

I understand that:

  • A $160 non-refundable deposit is required to reserve my athlete's place

  • The remaining balance may be paid in full or through installments

  • The full balance is due by March 1, 2027

  • Payments may be sent via Zelle to samanthacahoone@gmail.com

  • Any amount paid above the $160 non-refundable deposit may be refunded through April 20, 2027. if my athlete is unable to attend for an unavoidable reason.

  • NO REFUNDS WILL BE ISSUED AFTER APRIL 20, 2027

Release and Waiver of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, I voluntarily assume the inherent risks associated with my child’s participation in Marko Polo Water Polo activities.

I agree to release and hold harmless Marko Polo Water Polo and its coaches, staff, volunteers, representatives, and affiliated personnel from claims arising from the ordinary inherent risks of my child’s participation, except to the extent that a claim cannot legally be waived or results from conduct for which liability cannot lawfully be excluded.

Nothing in this agreement is intended to waive rights or protections that cannot legally be waived under applicable law.

Responsibility for Third-Party Providers

I understand that certain services may be provided by independent third parties, including airlines, hotels, restaurants, transportation companies, athletic facilities, medical providers, excursion operators, and other service providers.

Marko Polo Water Polo does not control every action or circumstance involving independent third-party providers.

Nothing in this agreement is intended to release any third party from responsibility that may otherwise exist under applicable law.

Emergency Medical Authorization Form

In the event of an illness or injury, or medical emergency, I authorize Marko Polo Water Polo Staff to take reasonable and necessary steps to protect the health and safety of the registered athlete.


I acknowledge and authorize the following when deemed necessary:

  • Emergency Medical treatment

  • Transportation to a hospital, emergency room, urgent care facility

  • Emergency dental treatment

  • Administration of approved medications in accordance with information and instruction provided by the Parent/Guardian

  • Marko Polo Staff contacting and consulting with local physicians, dentists, emergency medical person, hospitals, or other qualified medical professionals


I understand that every reasonable effort will be made to contact the parent/guardian or emergency contact as soon as possible in the event of a medical emergency.

I understand that I am responsible for providing accurate medical information and for informing Marko Polo Water Polo of any allergies, medication, medical conditions or other health concerns that may affect the athlete during the trip.

Photo, Video & Media Authorization

I grant Marko Polo Water Polo permission to photograph, film, record, interview, and otherwise capture the athlete’s image, likeness, voice, and participation during Marko Polo Water Polo programs and activities.

I authorize Marko Polo Water Polo to use, reproduce, edit, publish, display, distribute, and share approved photographs, videos, audio recordings, interviews, testimonials, and other media featuring the athlete for legitimate organizational, promotional, educational, and informational purposes.

These purposes may include, but are not limited to:

  • Marko Polo Water Polo website

  • Instagram and other social media platforms

  • Online advertisements and digital marketing

  • Promotional videos and highlight reels

  • Flyers, brochures, posters, and camp advertisements

  • Newsletters and email communications

  • Team presentations and event materials

  • Printed publications

  • Press releases and media coverage

  • Future camp and program promotions

  • Educational and instructional materials

  • Photographs and videos documenting team activities, practices, competitions, travel, and cultural experiences

I understand that photographs and recordings may be edited, cropped, resized, combined with other images or recordings, or used with captions, graphics, music, logos, or other content.

I understand that the athlete’s first name, team, position, or general camp participation may be identified in connection with approved media. Marko Polo Water Polo will not intentionally publish sensitive personal information such as home addresses, personal phone numbers, medical information, passport information, or other private registration information.

I understand that photographs, videos, and other media posted online or on social media may be viewed, shared, downloaded, or redistributed by third parties beyond the control of Marko Polo Water Polo.

I understand that neither the athlete nor the parent/guardian will receive payment, royalties, or other compensation for the authorized use of photographs, recordings, or other media.

I waive the right to inspect or approve completed photographs, videos, advertisements, publications, or other materials before they are published or distributed.

I release and hold harmless Marko Polo Water Polo, its coaches, staff, representatives, volunteers, affiliates, and authorized media partners from claims arising from the authorized use of the athlete’s image, likeness, voice, photographs, or recordings, except where prohibited by applicable law.

Duration and Revocation of Permission

This authorization applies to photographs, videos, recordings, and other media captured during the athlete’s participation in Marko Polo Water Polo activities.


A parent/guardian may revoke permission for future use by providing written notice to Marko Polo Water Polo.

I understand that revocation may not require Marko Polo Water Polo to remove photographs, videos, printed materials, social media posts, advertisements, or other materials that were lawfully created, published, distributed, or incorporated into completed materials before the revocation was received.

Assumption of Risk, Acknowledgment of Activities

This Assumption of Risk, Waiver, and Liability Release applies to my child’s participation in Marko Polo Water Polo camps, international training trips, practices, games, scrimmages, conditioning sessions, transportation, excursions, sightseeing activities, and other related program activities.

Acknowledgment of Activities

I understand that my child’s participation in Marko Polo Water Polo programs may include, but is not limited to:

  • Water polo practices and competitions

  • Swimming and aquatic training

  • Strength and conditioning activities

  • Dryland training

  • Scrimmages and games

  • Use of swimming pools and athletic facilities

  • Team transportation

  • International travel

  • Bus, van, automobile, and other ground transportation

  • Walking tours and sightseeing

  • Cultural and recreational activities

  • Team meals and lodging

  • Excursions and organized trips

  • Activities in or near natural bodies of water when included in the program

  • Other activities reasonably associated with the camp or training trip


Assumption of Risk

I understand that my child’s participation in athletics, water polo, swimming, travel, and recreational activities involves inherent risks.

These risks may include, but are not limited to:

  • Slips, trips, and falls

  • Muscle strains and sprains

  • Cuts and bruises

  • Broken bones

  • Head, neck, or spinal injuries

  • Concussions

  • Dental injuries

  • Eye injuries

  • Shoulder, knee, hip, or other joint injuries

  • Collision or physical contact with other players

  • Injuries caused by water polo balls, goals, equipment, or facilities

  • Fatigue, dehydration, overheating, or heat-related illness

  • Illness or allergic reactions

  • Drowning or near-drowning

  • Transportation-related accidents

  • Injuries occurring during sightseeing or recreational activities

  • Risks associated with international travel

  • Exposure to unfamiliar environments, facilities, foods, or conditions

  • Delays or disruptions beyond the control of Marko Polo Water Polo

  • Other injuries, illnesses, property damage, or unforeseen circumstances


I understand that serious injury, permanent disability, or death, while uncommon, are possible risks associated with athletic and aquatic activities.


I knowingly and voluntarily accept the inherent risks associated with my child’s participation in Marko Polo Water Polo activities.


My Child’s Health and Fitness


I certify that, to the best of my knowledge, my child is physically capable of participating in water polo, swimming, strength and conditioning, travel, and other scheduled activities.

I agree to disclose any relevant medical conditions, injuries, allergies, medications, physical limitations, or other health concerns that could affect my child’s participation.

I understand that Marko Polo Water Polo may restrict or discontinue my child’s participation in an activity if staff reasonably believe participation could present a significant health or safety concern.

Personal Property

I understand that my child is responsible for appropriately securing personal belongings.


Marko Polo Water Polo cannot guarantee the security of personal property, including but not limited to:

  • Phones

  • Computers and electronic devices

  • Clothing

  • Sports equipment

  • Passports and travel documents

  • Cash

  • Jewelry

  • Luggage

  • Other personal belongings


I understand that Marko Polo Water Polo is not responsible for ordinary loss, theft, or damage to my child’s personal property except to the extent responsibility may be imposed by applicable law.

Rules and Conduct

I understand that my child is expected to follow all Marko Polo Water Polo rules and reasonable instructions provided by coaches and staff.


My child is expected to:

  • Treat teammates, coaches, staff, hotel employees, officials, opponents, and members of the public respectfully

  • Follow curfew and supervision requirements

  • Attend scheduled practices, meals, meetings, and activities on time

  • Remain with assigned groups during organized activities

  • Follow pool, hotel, transportation, and facility rules

  • Refrain from alcohol, illegal drugs, tobacco, vaping products, and prohibited substances

  • Avoid behavior that places my child or others at unreasonable risk

  • Follow local laws and regulations while traveling


I understand that serious or repeated violations of program rules may result in my child being restricted from activities or dismissed from the program.


If my child must be sent home because of a serious disciplinary violation, I understand that I may be responsible for reasonable additional transportation and related expenses, subject to applicable law.
